My name is Miss Wilson and I am absolutely thrilled for the new school year! I graduated in 2009 from the University of the Incarnate Word with my Bachelor of Art's in Interdisciplinary Studies, and I am currently enrolled at the University of North Texas pursuing my Masters in Library Science, set to graduate in the spring of 2018. If you couldn't tell by that, I LOVE to read! :)
I am a San Antonio native and am lucky to have most of my family living here in the city as well. I have an Australian Shepherd, Maia, and a Havanese, Wesley, who are my (very spoiled) babies.
In my free time I like to read and write stories, plan travel (I am hoping to head overseas next summer!), pen-pal, spend time with friends, and try new things!
My goal for the school year is to help my students grow into problem solvers and critical thinkers. We will be doing several STEM challenges this year that will encourage kids to collaborate to solve puzzles in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math! This year each of my students will get a chance to research a topic that they really feel passionate about, develop a question, search for answers, and turn their findings into a presentation that they will share with the class. More information will come home as we try our minds at "Genius Hour!"
If you need to contact me for any reason, please feel free to email me at [email protected] and I will get back to you within 24 hours. I couldn't be more excited and I'm ready for an amazing year!
